Description
Mechanic - Maintenance (Support Equipment) The V2X Repair Station located in Crestview, FL seeking a Support Equipment Mechanic to perform general maintenance and servicing of our support equipment. This equipment includes vehicles (trucks, golf carts, forklifts), man lifts, aircraft stands, ladders, toolboxes, test equipment, compressors, swamp coolers, air conditioning units, shelving, cabinets, and any support equipment that may need to be maintained and kept clean. We are looking for an individual who takes pride in their organizational skills, cleanliness of equipment, and overall appearance of the facility. Operate and drive all types of equipment - motorized and non-motorized. Conduct regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on ground support equipment, including but not limited to tow tractors, diesel engines, generators, and air conditioning units and maintenance stands. Perform scheduled maintenance tasks, including fluid changes, filter replacements, belt adjustments, and tire rotations. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, industry standards, and safety regulations. Overhaul and rebuild engines, transmissions, and other major components to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, parts used, and hours spent on each task. Coordinate with program teams to effectively prioritize and complete repair jobs in a timely manner to minimize equipment downtime. Maintained a clean and organized workshop, ensuring all tools, equipment, and parts are properly stored and readily accessible. Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to ground support equipment maintenance and repair. Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and external vendors to coordinate repairs, procure parts, and resolve any technical issues. Where applicable, fuel equipment as necessary with full regard for all safety and environmental requirements. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities:
