Introduction Applied Information Sciences is seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Manager to lead our internal IT team and ensure the smooth operation, security, and efficiency of our technology infrastructure. This role plays a vital part in aligning IT strategy with business goals and driving innovation through the effective use of technology. What You'll Be Doing
Manage and lead a team of IT professionals, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations. Oversee the IT Help Desk, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of user issues and inquiries. Foster strong relationships with internal customers across all departments, understanding their needs and proactively identifying solutions. Develop, implement, and manage IT policies, procedures, and standards for user access, security, and data management. Maintain a secure and compliant IT infrastructure, including network security, data encryption, and disaster recovery protocols. Stay up to date on emerging cybersecurity threats and implement appropriate security measures to mitigate risks. Analyze IT resource utilization and develop strategies to optimize performance and cost-effectiveness. Manage IT budget effectively, prioritize projects, and secure necessary resources. Track and report on key IT performance indicators (KPIs) and IT project metrics. Research and recommend new technologies and solutions to improve efficiency and support business growth. Support IT team members and the business with hands-on expertise and support, as needed.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field or equivalent work experience.. Minimum 5 years of experience managing or being a lead supporting a team of IT professionals. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on working experience or knowledge of the following technologies and related fields:
Cloud Services: Microsoft 365 (including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Intune), Azure VMs, Storage, and Networking, Azure Virtual Desktop Corporate Network and Infrastructure: Public DNS, ISP/WAN Management, Network Devices Cloud Network Management: Azure Networking, VNets, Azure Firewall, NSGs IT Management Tools: ITSM, Remote Support, PowerShell Identity, Security & Compliance: Entra Identity and Protection, Defender, Purview Meeting and Collaboration: Integrated Room System Management
Strong understanding of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL). Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices. Experience with IT Help Desk operations and best practices. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have Skills The ideal candidate will possess hands-on working experience with the following technologies and related fields:
Cloud Services: Experience with Azure Gov and GCC-High is a plus Cloud Network and Infrastructure: Meraki-based network environment, AvePoint for Backups IT Management Tools: ServiceNow, BeyondTrust Identity, Security & Compliance: Security related certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Working knowledge of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and CMMC Meeting and Collaboration: Previous experience with Crestron Practical experience in deploying and managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) and/or Terraform.
