Job Description: The Surgical Technologist performs various duties as a member of the surgical team to ensure a safe and successful operative procedure. This position functions under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and directly reports to Surgical Services management.It is expected that the Surgical Technologist will support system wide and surgical operations initiatives and practices. In addition, this person will actively participate in the surgical operations safety plan as outlined. As a specialized surgery center in the Intermountain Health system, we treat extremely complex patients - from complex surgical oncology patients to procedures done by only a few surgeons in the country. The LDS Hospital team of surgeons, anesthesiologists, physician assistants, nurses and technicians work together collaboratively to create a patient-centered environment that allows for an extraordinary patient experience.
