What you will do:

  • The purpose of this job is to provide administrative and secretarial support to Perioperative Services and Sterile Processing Leadership.
  • What you will do:
  • Knowledge and application of Endeavor Health policies and procedures that apply to job and area of responsibility.
  • Abides by all of the applicable policies, procedures and guidelines of Endeavor and assists in the administration of the Endeavor Health Corporate Compliance Plan.
  • Functions as administrative liaison between Perioperative Services and Sterile Processing Leadership and the senior staff, physicians and employees of Endeavor Health.
  • Coordinates all details of off-site meetings, conferences and business-related travel for the reporting departments.
  • Responsible for scheduling, coordinating agendas, preparing meeting materials and attending and taking minutes under department's direction.
  • Is responsible for API/payroll for reporting departments.
  • Maintains both an electronic version and a binder of hard copies of the monthly, year-end and ongoing (i.e. expense reimbursements, contracts, correspondence) documents.
  • Is responsible for keeping personnel files up to date for departments.
  • Knowledge of and ability to navigate Endeavor Health's website and intranet.
  • Knowledge of and ability to locate information on various healthcare systems, vendors, associations and other supporting organizations as needed.
  • Reports to Perioperative Services Leadership, Sterile Processing Leadership, and Executive Sponsor.
  • Knowledge and demonstration of Endeavor Health customer service standards.
  • Knowledge of the federal, state and local laws that apply to jobs area of responsibility.
  • Ongoing growth and development from participation in events such as in-service programs.
  • Serves as resource and facilitator to Department and Endeavor Health in general.
  • Responsible for coordinating and maintaining calendars.
  • Prepares outgoing mail/incoming mail and correspondence including e-mail and faxes.
  • Typing/transcribing, composes routine correspondence.
  • Answering, screening, triaging of telephone calls.
  • Handles customer complaints through appropriate routing. Redirects or delegates to appropriate resource for further resolution and conclusion.
  • Monitors, assists and coordination of ongoing projects involving the administrative areas reporting to these departments.
  • Prepare presentation material.
  • Organizes and maintains filing system.
  • Responsible for the inventory/ordering of supplies
  • Responsible for the repair/upkeep of office equipment.
  • Works on special projects as assigned by departments.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • 5+ Years of administrative experience and preferably in a healthcare environment
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills required.
  • Strong analytical skills required to analyze situations as well as the ability to make decisions independently.
  • Must be an independent self-starter; must have strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Excellent customer relations skills.
  • Must be able to type at least 60 wpm with accuracy.
