HOSPITAL MEDICINCE: Advanced Practice Provider (APP)

Position Highlights:

  • Position:Advanced Practice Provider (APN/PA) - Division of Hospital Medicine
  • Location:Swedish Hospital, Chicago, IL
  • Full Time/Part Time:Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Hours: 12-hour shifts with start/end times between 7a - 7p, 7p - 7a, and 12a - 12p. Rotating holidays and weekends required.
  • Required Travel:n/a

Our Advanced Practice Providers are integral members of a multidisciplinary medical group. The Advance Practice Provider performs comprehensive care in the inpatient setting. Working in a collaborative environment, the team consults with referring providers, nurses, and outpatient clinics.

What you will need:

  • License:Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) or Physician Assistant Licensure (PA) in the State of IL required;FederalDEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required
  • Certification:BLS/CPR certification required
  • Experience:Prior APN/PA experience in Adult Medicine, ER, Internal Medicine, or Hospitalist Medicine preferred.

  • Provide comprehensive health assessments, differential diagnosis, and prescribe treatments under the protocol in the direct management of acute and chronic illness and disease
  • Provide patient educationto promote wellness and prevent illness and injury for individuals, families, and communities.
  • Work autonomously and in interdisciplinary teams
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
