Position Highlights:

• Position: Recreational Therapist (Inpatient Psych.)
• Location: Highland Park, IL
• Full Time/Part Time:Full Time
• Hours: 40/hrs a week (Day, M-F)
• Required Travel: N/A

What you will need:

• License: N/A
• Education: Graduate of a school of Therapeutic Recreation with possession of a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or university
• Certification: CPR Certification required. Certified and/or registered by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (NCTRS).
• Experience: Minimum of one-year work experience in a hospital setting is strongly preferred
• Skills: N/A

What you will do:

• Provides therapeutic recreation services including leisure assessment, treatment intervention and discharge planning for all appropriate patients on specified units
• Maintains therapeutic recreation activity area, equipment and supply inventory as needed
• Prepares and maintains accurate patient records including evaluations, progress notes, treatment plan, patient education, discharge summaries and billing as required by Medicare third party payers, and JCAHO.
• Confers with other staff therapists, physicians and other related personnel regarding progress of patient/resident as needed
