Job Summary:
Physicians with the Division of Hospital Medicine provide comprehensive, patient-centered care for the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses at UW Health practice sites. They are also provided the opportunity to grow the next generation of physicians through hands-on instruction of residents, fellows, and medical students. Education: Required Qualifications: Previous experience working in the inpatient setting, preferably at a tertiary care center; excellent attention to detail; ability to balance multiple, often competing priorities; ability to collaborate on a multidisciplinary team; excellent communication skills with an emphasis on patient empathy. License/Certification: Required Must be eligible for Wisconsin medical license by the start date. Must be Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine by the start date. ABIM - American Board of Internal Medicine Certification, AOBIM - American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine, ABFM - American Board of Family Medicine, or AOBFP - American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. Work Type: Full or Part Time: 50% - 100% Appointment Type, Duration: Ongoing/Renewable Anticipated Begin Date: MAY 21, 2024 Salary: Negotiable Additional Information: The Division will not be able to support a request for a J-1 waiver.
