Job Summary:
The Department of Biomolecular Chemistry within the School of Medicine and Public Health invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The Department of Biomolecular Chemistry is an interdisciplinary, research-driven department, housed within the Hector F. DeLuca Biochemical Sciences Complex. Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be expected to 1) develop a vigorous and internationally recognized research program, 2) attract and maintain extramural funding, 3) teach and mentor graduate, undergraduate and medical students within the field of Biomolecular Chemistry, 4) participate in faculty governance activities and 5) participate in professional, public, and university service. These duties will be performed at the following percentages: 75-80% Research; 10-15% Teaching; 5-10% Service. Education: Required Qualifications: Three (3) years of post-doctoral training required. Ideally in chromosome and RNA biology, gene expression, development, metabolism, and cellular signaling.
