Job Summary:

The Department of Dermatology seeks candidates dedicated to compassionate high-quality patient care, innovative teaching, and the pursuit of scholarly achievement.

Our Mohs Micrographic program is recognized for providing exceptional care to patients with skin cancer. The successful candidate will provide patient care, participate in teaching of clinical fellows, residents, and medical students, and will participate in clinical and translational research related activities.

This position will support a mid-level career or recent fellowship graduate and will provide an immediate strong clinical practice, with opportunities for both clinical and translational research, within the Department and across the School of Medicine and Public Health.

The Mohs Micrographic Surgery program is supported by four full-time Mohs Surgery Faculty and involves multidisciplinary approaches and strong collaborations with our colleagues in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, Oculoplastic Surgery, Plastic Surgery and Surgical Oncology.

The successful candidate will provide clinical care of outpatients and inpatients, instruction of medical student, residents, and fellows. They will participate in growth of procedural dermatology program.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will teach medical students, residents, and fellows.

CHS: The successful applicant will participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.

- Graduate of a certified dermatology residency program; prefer fellowship in Mohs Micrographic surgery

Additional Information:

The current group of 4 full-time Mohs surgeons enjoys a collegial environment, working with a team of 4 full-time dermatopathologists, a full-time dermatopathology laboratory, and several medical dermatologists. As a department we see close to 80,000 visits a year.

In addition, we have a large group of dedicated nurses, histotechnicians, and support staff. We enjoy state-of-the-art facilities, enthusiastic residents who participate in dermatologic surgical rotations, and a long-standing ACGME-approved fellowship program with one fellow who trains with us each year.

We have a dynamic and growing Department, with effective and supportive Faculty mentorship and a strong institutional and community-based referral network.

Applicants for this position will be considered for the titles listed in this posting. The title is determined by the experience and qualifications of the finalist.
