Job Summary:
The Department of Surgical Sciences of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, School of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for a full-time Clinical Instructor in Small Animal Orthopedic Surgery. The successful candidate will join the Small Animal Surgery Section, which is comprised 6 full-time ACVS Diplomates, 6 residents/surgical interns, and a dynamic group of certified veterinary technicians. Responsibilities: Responsibilities will include providing clinical service in the teaching hospital, participation in clinical and didactic teaching of veterinary students, residents and interns, and pursuit of clinical research. Clinical duties include leading resident-based or student-based rounds that involve approximately 5 hours per week. Student case-based rounds are conducted by faculty in conjunction with residents when the faculty are assigned to clinic duties. Education: Required Qualifications: Advanced training in small animal orthopedic surgery is required. Board certified or board eligible with the American College of Veterinary Surgeons or the European College of Veterinary Surgeons is required.
