Job Summary:
The Department of Medical Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, School of Veterinary (SVM) invites applications for a Clinical Track, full-time, renewable Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor position within the Dermatology Section of the UW Veterinary Care Hospital. The SVM is a collegial, collaborative environment that offers specialty care with board-certified experts in allied services including anesthesia and pain management, cardiology, dentistry and oral surgery, diagnostic imaging, emergency and critical care, internal medicine, neurology, medical and radiation oncology, ophthalmology, anatomic and clinical pathology, primary care, special species, and soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. Responsibilities: Clinical track faculty at the University of Wisconsin are expected to participate in clinical and didactic teaching of veterinary students, interns, and residents; participate in continuing education programs; and conduct basic science or clinical research that advances academic clinical practice. Education: Required Qualifications: Academic experience or relevant practice experience beyond residency training is a plus but not required. Aptitude or experience in clinical instruction of DVM students, interns, and residents is also expected. Distribution of effort in the section and the department will be determined in accordance with service needs, academic priorities, and the candidate's expertise and academic goals. The candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cooperatively with all sections of the hospital and department.
