A Brief Overview:
We are currently seeking a Research Assistant (RA) for the Research Program at Endeavor Health's Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. Under the supervision of the Research Manager, the Research Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Research Coordinator and support the research investigators in their research activities.
What you will do:
- Primarily assisting with participant recruitment, consent processes, and data collection, ensuring compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.
- Preparing and maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functionality and cleanliness, and assisting with the procurement of research supplies and materials.
- Collecting and recording research data using various techniques, instruments, and software, following established protocols and procedures.
- Preparing research materials, including laboratory reagents, tissue samples, and specimens, and ensuring proper storage and documentation.
- Links study patients to clinical trial in the electronic medical record system.
- Maintaining accurate and organized research records, including electronic and paper files, and ensuring data confidentiality and security.
- Assisting in the preparation and submission of research proposals, grant applications, and Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions.
- Participating in research team meetings, contributing to discussions, and staying informed about advancements in the field.
What you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field
- Previous experience in a research role, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting
