Environmental Health & Safety Job Description
This position will work as part of a team to perform pre-renovation/demolition inspections (site visits, bulk sampling, data interpretation, data entry, report generation) and perform project surveillance (ensure safety/compliance, visually inspect work areas, collect air samples, generate reports) for asbestos projects on campus. The position will also perform pre-renovation/demolition inspections for other building-related hazardous materials. The position requires maintaining Asbestos Worker/Supervisor certification and Missouri Lead Inspector license. The position must maintain the ability to pass an asbestos physical with chest X-ray and fit test to wear a respirator. Performs microscopic analyses and administers respirator fit tests for facility, staff, and students. Shift
Monday-Friday 8:00 to 5:00 Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired is necessary. Certification as required by regulatory agencies is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
