Job Description

The Finance and Accounting Analyst Lead is responsible for overseeing and executing complex financial and accounting analyses within the university's finance department. This role involves preparing detailed reports for university management and government agencies, managing departmental budgets, performing provider incentive calculations, and presenting financial data. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively.

* Perform in-depth statistical and financial analyses to support decision-making processes within the OBGYN Department.

* Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.

* Lead the completion of the department's annual budget.

* Track variances from the budgets and provide explanations for deviations.

* Ensure accuracy and compliance with university guidelines.

* Performs provider incentive calculations. Responsible for annual renewal of incentive plans.

* Review and approve department expenses in accordance with established policies and budgetary constraints.

* Ensure proper documentation and adherence to financial regulations.

* Attends meetings relating to departmental and School of Medicine finances. Participate in discussions and provide financial insights as necessary.

* May be required to present financial reports and analyses at these meetings.

* Present monthly and quarterly financial data to the Chair, Director, and faculty members.

* Prepare clear and concise reports that highlight key financial metrics, trends, and projections.

* Performs ad hoc reporting.

* Provide education to departmental staff on financial policies and procedures.

* Lead or participate in special projects as assigned by departmental leadership or university administration. Examples may include financial audits, system implementations, or strategic initiatives to enhance financial sustainability.

* Oversee the Sr. Business Operations Associate.

* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial information to diverse audiences.

* Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.

* Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Shift

Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Bachelor's degree in Finance

Anticipated Hiring Range

Hiring Range: $58,573 - $95,000
