Medical Education-Springfield, MO Job Description
This position will be located in Springfield, Missouri, and will have a vital role in the appointment/reappointment process for physicians/faculty who will be educators and mentors for the medical students at the Springfield Clinical Campus. This individual will work with faculty and potential faculty in the Springfield, MO area, as well as the University of Missouri School of Medicine (SOM) Dean's office and SOM Medical Education departments in Columbia, MO. Duties will include: 2. Tracking faculty development activities. Providing support for faculty development sessions in Springfield, including obtaining CME approval in collaboration with Columbia CME office. 3. Monitoring faculty progress in the appointment/reappointment process to ensure completion in a timely manner. 4. Assisting/supporting faculty, MU departments, and administration when a faculty member wishes to change faculty status (i.e. adjunct to regular appointment) or be promoted to the next level. 5. Maintaining faculty roster for the Springfield Clinical Campus, including specialty, affiliation, board certification and demographic information. 6. Collecting and analyzing data in response to requests for routine reports for SOM leadership, LCME, and others. Preparing routine correspondence and reports in response to specific requests as approved by medical education leaders. 7. Assisting in the annual faculty evaluation process and other duties as assigned. 8. Manage our reception area, general office functions and interacting with students/faculty/staff as they enter the office. 9. Other duties as assigned in support of the Springfield Clinical Campus. 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
