Department of Plant Science & Technology Job Description
The Research/Lab Technician will primarily involve in field research activities. Responsibilities will encompass: * Undertake tasks involved in general agricultural farm operations and operate tractors, combines, and sprayers to perform tasks such as plowing, planting, fertilizing, and harvesting crops on a seasonal or occasional basis. In addition to the field duties, the Research/Lab Technician will also help in various soybean breeding activities such as planting, crossing, roguing, seed processing, field data collection, and harvesting. The Research/Lab Technician will work closely with the Farm Manager and will perform other activities or tasks assigned or required. Shift
Monday through Friday, 40-hour work week, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Minimum Qualifications
A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications: * Possesses a two-year background in agricultural research, preferably within a soybean breeding program. Anticipated Hiring Range
