Job Description

Bond Life Sciences Center is in search of a passionate and skilled Sr. Post Award Specialist to join our team. As a vital member, you will play a key role in managing post-award grants and sponsored programs, contributing to the advancement of groundbreaking research and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help the Business Manager train the Post Award Analyst(s).
  • Spearhead the efficient administration of financial and procurement processes for all LSC personnel.
  • Champion a culture of proactive financial and grant compliance, ensuring excellence in every aspect.

Grant and Program Oversight Mastery:

  • Dive into the details of grant and sponsored program activities alongside the LSC Business Manager.
  • Interpret award terms and conditions, initiating award set-up, and collaborating with Principal Investigators on expenditure allowability and compliance requirements.
  • Guide Principal Investigators in establishing and monitoring subrecipients for compliance with award terms and conditions.
  • Provide crucial project expense projections to determine additional fund needs, potential overruns, and requests to sponsors.
  • Recommend corrections or budget transfers when needed, demonstrating your keen financial insight.
  • Collaborate closely with the LSC Business Manager and the Office of Sponsored Programs Administration to resolve complex accounting issues.
  • Ensure the timely closeout of all expired projects and subawards through coordinated fiscal and administrative resources.
  • Ability to present complex trainings to internal and external groups.

Financial Reporting Excellence:

  • Train Post Award Analyst(s) on financial reporting structure for the LSC.
  • Update and disseminate PI financial reports for both grant and non-grant accounts, contributing to transparency and informed decision-making.

Strategic Financial Visionary:

  • Scrutinize general ledger postings for accuracy and maintenance of adequate balances.
  • Identify potential overdraft situations and devise strategic expenditure plans to avert cost deficits and disallowances.
  • Collaborate effectively with Faculty and HR Shared Services on HR requests.

Contributing to Efficiency and Compliance:

  • Assist in analyzing and developing improved policies, plans, methods, procedures, and systems for efficient and compliant post-award administration.
  • Be proficient in PeopleSoft for ease of training the Post Award Analyst(s).

Monday- Friday, 8 am- 5 pm

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $51,875 - $66,810 per year

Grade: GGS-9E
