Job Description

The School of Medicine - Department of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated, engaged, and committed Reimbursement Consultant who is interested in joining a fast-paced, highly productive team.

Job Duties:
Perform reviews of provider documentation to identify deficiencies.
Review billing codes for accuracy.
Suggest areas of improvement for increased revenue streams.
Maintain knowledge of current billing and coding guidelines.
Research new or updated payor policies to maximize reimbursement.
Identify potential billing errors and suggest process improvements.
Offer educational opportunities for providers.
Submit recommendations for edits or other resolutions to minimize inefficiencies.

Shift

8am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a health or business related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary.

Three to four years of supervisory experience and directly related experience involving physician or hospital billing procedures.

Certified Procedural Coder or equivalent certification must be obtained within one year from date of hire.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $52,666 - $55,000 annual
Grade: PAT-008
