Position Summary
The University of New Mexico, School of Medicine and Health Sciences Center is seeking a candidate that will contribute actively to the climate of diversity and inclusivity. We invite applications for a Open Rank, Open Track position in Midwifery. UNM Obstetrics and Gynecology's Midwifery Division has a busy clinical practice and is active in education. The position will manage women's health care, focusing particularly on pregnancy, childbirth, the postpartum period, care of the newborn, and the family planning and gynecologic needs of women. The position will practice within the health care system and perform consultation, collaborative management, or referral, as indicated by the health status of the client. The position will practice in accord with the Standards for the Practice of Midwifery, as defined by the American College of Nurse-Midwives. The candidate hired will be expected to participate in the education and training of student nurse midwives and other advanced practice providers, medical students, residents, and fellows in the clinical setting. Classroom education of these learners may also be a possibility. A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Eligible
to work in the United States - Master's
degree (MSN) - Participation in the Certificate Maintenance Program with the American
Midwifery Certification Board (or eligible). - CNM license with New Mexico Department of Health (or eligible). RN
license with New Mexico Board of Nursing (or eligible). - RN
license with New Mexico Board of Nursing, State of New Mexico Board of Pharmacy certification, and federal DEA registration (or eligible)
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience teaching adult learners
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment
- Interest in participating in clinical research
- At least one year clinical experience working in academic medical center
- A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
