Requisition ID req18931 Working Title HS Research Tech 2 Position Grade 09 Position Summary The UNM College of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences is recruiting for a HS Research Tech 2. This position will be affiliated to the Native Environmental Health Equity Research Center and to the University of New Mexico (UNM) METALS Superfund Research Center (SRC) sponsored by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) working on the accumulation and toxicity of metals and microplastics in plant and mammalian cells. The purpose of the project is to conduct experiments on microplastics and metals uptake in plants and to conduct in vitro experiments to study microfibers toxicity in human cells. The HS Research Tech 2 will be co-mentored by Faculty Co-Investigators on the grants. The HS Research Tech 2 will be expected to work independently and to help undergraduate and graduate students in their research projects. The research work of the HS Research Tech 2 will help the students to produce high quality science that can result in peer-reviewed publications. Job Duties and Functions Include:

Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
