Requisition ID req30383 Working Title Mgr,Maint & Construction Position Grade 14 Position Summary The HSC Facilities Office within HSC Finance and Administration provides oversight and directs a wide variety of construction projects from a simple office move, to a laboratory renovation with state-of-the-art equipment, to the construction of a new building. The UNM Health Sciences' is comprised of the following areas: UNM Health System, School of Medicine, UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center, Project Echo, College of Nursing, College of Pharmacy, College of Population Health, and Office of Research. The Manager of Maintenance and Construction would serve as the liaison between Capital Projects, Facility Management, Planning Design and Construction and the School of Medicine to ensure that all projects taking place within the School of Medicine are coordinated effectively. This position will be responsible for engaging collaboratively as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in preconstruction activities as a facility stakeholder and subject matter expert, to ensure timely completion of work orders and document reoccurring facility issues. This position will also facilitate and participate in effective space management for School of Medicine Facilities. See the Position Description for additional information. Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED; at least 10 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Preferred Qualifications * Baccalaureate Degree in Construction/Project management, Engineering, or Architecture * Proficiency with AutoCAD/Revit, MS Project, and Smartsheet * Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications * General construction knowledge * Ability to approve installations * Ability to select, evaluate, coordinate, and identify quality control concerns related to professional consultants * Knowledge and understanding of construction documents and specifications * Good customer service skills, ability to work with personnel at all levels of the organization * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written * General knowledge of state procurement processes * Experience working in an academic healthcare setting Additional Requirements Campus Health Sciences Center (HSC) - Albuquerque, NM Department Sr Exec Officer - Finance & Admin (878A) Employment Type Staff Staff Type Regular - Full-Time Term End Date Status Exempt Pay Monthly: $4,688.67 - $6709.73 Benefits Eligible This is a benefits eligible position.
