Requisition ID req30530 Working Title Academic Office Coordinator - College of A&S Dean's Office Position Grade 10 Position Summary ****The final salary for this position is dependent upon total Education and Experience**** The College of Arts and Sciences Dean's Office is seeking a highly motivated and professional Academic Coordinator committed to providing both internal and external professional and expedient customer service. This position is needed to manage the Dean's Office front desk activities to accurately coordinate the standardized operating processes and procedures required for the various units within the College. The Academics Coordinator will play a significant role in supporting the units in our College and our efforts as our workloads and responsibilities increase due to the continuous expansion of the centralized services provided by the Dean's Office. The ideal candidate would be a personable self-starter who enjoys working with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students. This person serves as a liaison to various units and core offices on campus and will serve as the primary backup in providing support for a variety of programmatic and operational administrative tasks including TA/GA/RA assistantships. This person will be responsible for providing internal programmatic and operational administrative tasks for the Dean's office logging, tracking, processing and maintaining the routing queues for faculty and staff HR employment documents. This person will also be responsible for providing backup for Graduate Student Excellence Assistantships and Student Academic Scholarships. See the Position Description for additional information. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Preferred Qualifications * Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor * Proficient written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills * Coordinates and/or facilitates course revision/scheduling forms * Experience facilitating seminars, special events, meetings, special projects * Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects * Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint * Experience as a UNM P-Card holder to include reallocation and reconciliation, UNM purchasing systems including Chrome River, Lobomart, Purchasing, Banner Finance and HR Reports * Payroll processes such as Banner time and monthly leave entry including internal ePAF processing Additional Requirements Please attach at least three Professional References.
