Position Summary

The University of New Mexico's Project ECHO has an amazing opportunity for a Program Coordinator to join our ECHO Education team! ECHO Education has experienced significant growth in the past year as part of efforts to develop and support new ECHO Programming.

This position will support several ECHO programs within K-12 Education, and Higher Education.
As a successful Program Coordinator, you will play an active and integral role in advancing these efforts in close coordination with ECHO Education team members by:
-Coordinating logistics for ECHO Education programs, ensuring smooth execution of program plans.
Implementing and supporting the development of case-based learning processes, forms, and tracking for ECHO Education programs.
-Orienting new Hub team members and new case presenters to best practices in facilitating and presenting cases for an ECHO session, and supporting them in the execution of effective ECHO sessions.
-Preparing, maintaining, and sharing project planning and implementation notes, calendars, and timelines to ensure deliverables are met.
-Creating and maintaining current promotional materials, brochures, and updates for ECHO programs.
-Implementing standard operating procedures, project timelines, communications plans, and effective marketing and outreach strategies as defined by the Senior Program Manager and/or Program Manager of the assigned program area.
-Serving as a liaison among the ECHO Institute and program participants, hub team specialist, partners, and a variety of other program stakeholders.
-Collaborating with internal stakeholders in creating and maintaining the K-12 Education Team periodic newsletter in alignment with our team's strategic plan.
-Coordinating the activities of internal and external stakeholders as need for the meeting of program- and team-level objectives

Project ECHO is funded in part by philanthropic grants and gifts from organizations such as the GE Foundation, the Helmsley Charitable Trust, the Bristol Myers Squibb Foundation, the Merck Foundation, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the US Government. Additionally, for programming benefitting New Mexico we receive support from the NM Legislature, the New Mexico Human Services Department and the New Mexico Department of Health.

Conditions of Employment
  • If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
