The student will be working in a lab specializing in microbiology and infectious diseases. Under direct supervision, the Lab Tech will be responsible for taking care of the laboratory including cleaning, equipment supervision, preparing media and supplies, and setting up lab experiments for specified research projects. Further duties may include fabrication of research/testing components, preparing specimens, media, and equipment, and making drug formulations, as appropriate to the specific position. May work with and assist other students in lab activities, and may perform miscellaneous administrative duties. Duties and Responsibilities:
Note: Typical work hours will be Monday-Friday, between the hours of 8:00AM - 5:00PM. Work schedules are flexible and will be worked out with the supervisor before beginning employment. The selected candidate must be able to work a minimum of 15-28 hours per week. Applications are encouraged from all student-employment/work-study eligible students.
