Position Summary
UNM's
Facilities Management (FM) is looking to hire an Operations Specialist to join
our FM Environmental Services team. The individual selected
for this position designs, develops, coordinates, and facilitates the execution
of specified projects and initiatives. Establishes project priorities and
schedules, in line with strategic plans and operating objectives. Provides specialized
advice, facilitation, and support to management, faculty, staff, and/or
students in the development and implementation of effective systems,
procedures, programs, and/or practices. May oversee one or more specified key
operational or business functions for the unit, as appropriate to individual
requirements.

Conditions of Employment

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 7 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.



Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in computer software applications of
    Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, TMA, Banner, etc
  • Critical thinking of a project's path to success and
    the development of required processes
  • Experience and/or training in project management.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of standard project implementation
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Fundamental understanding of project technical issues
  • Keen understanding of project risk and mitigation
  • Experience in a technical professional environment
  • Experience with accounting
    practices
