Position Summary

We are accepting applications for Experimental Art and Technology Lab Monitor from all students; prioritizing those with the work study award and within the Art department.

Under general supervision, serves as the lab monitor for the Experimental Art & Technology area during open lab hours. Lab hours vary, shifts are usually between 3 - 8 hours.

This position involves general supervision of students working in the lab, ensuring lab users sign in, some light lab maintenance, as well as providing assistance to those in need.

Additionally, the lab monitors will be in communication with the Lab manager over any issues they encounter during their shifts. They are also responsible for pre-approved check outs, and equipment returns after 5pm, or when the Lab Manager is absent.
We are looking for someone who is willing to help others, learn new things, and problem solve when necessary.


Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with 3D printing, video editing, graphic design tools, computers, laser cutting, printers, audio editing and/or production equipment.
