Med Tech Generalist part time nights

16 hours/week part time nights!

Under the direction of the evening and chemistry managers, performs a wide variety of manual and automated laboratory procedures utilizing independent judgment and maintaining responsibility for assigned duties. Must be familiar with all phases of the chemistry and hematology laboratory to include urinalysis and urine microscopy. Must be computer literate and have a basic understanding of computer interfaces. Must also be familiar with specimen processing protocols for both inpatient and outpatient procedures.

Completion
of an Associates Degree program in laboratory medicine or medical laboratory
technology OR Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory
science of chemical, physician or biological science OR Education and training
equivalent to an associates degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory
technology: 60 semester hours including either 24 semester hours of medical
technology courses or 24 semester hours of science courses (6 hours of
chemistry, 6 hours of biology, and 12 hours in chemistry, biology or medical
technology or any combination) AND either completion of an approved/accredited
clinical laboratory program or at least three months of documented laboratory
training in each specialty employee will work.

technologist under CFR 493.1433 laboratory regulations published March 14, 1990
(55 FR 9538)

MT(ASCP), BB(ASCP), H(ASCP), C(ASCP), M(ASCP) or equivalent
required unless qualified under CFR 493.1433
