Temporary Full-Time / Part-Time Child Psychologist

Position Announcement

The Department of Psychiatry at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, an academic teaching hospital and affiliate of Harvard Medical School, is seeking a temporary full-time child psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team in the Center for Child Development. This position is focused on providing comprehensive developmental assessments conducted within the Center.

The Center for Child Development specializes in the assessment and treatment of a diverse pediatric population, including those at high risk for developmental delays and disorders. Our dedicated team supports patients from birth through age 3, offering vital resources and education to families to ensure the best possible developmental outcomes. The successful candidate will be involved in multidisciplinary evaluations, including the use of the Bayley Scales of Infant Development (Bayley-4), autism diagnostic tools such as ADOS, and screeners like the M-CHAT, SDQ, and ASQ. Additionally, the role is particularly focused on supporting the NICU Follow-up Program, which tracks the development of infants discharged from the NICU until age 3.

We are seeking clinicians who possess the following qualifications:

* Experience in working with young children, particularly in conducting developmental assessments.

* Familiarity with high-risk patient populations.

* Proficiency with tools such as the Bayley Scales of Infant Development (Bayley-4), ADOS, and screeners like the M-CHAT, SDQ, and ASQ.

* Experience in conducting assessments for research studies that map onto clinical exams and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices.

* Bilingual skills are a plus, particularly in languages commonly spoken by our patient population.

Position Details:



  • Duration: This is a temporary full-time /part-time position beginning November 1st, 5 days a week.

Qualifications

Qualifications:



  • Completed an APA-accredited doctoral program in clinical psychology.
  • Completed an APA-accredited psychology internship training program.
  • Licensed or license-eligible as a Psychologist in Massachusetts.
  • Experience Clinical competence with culturally-responsive care and diverse populations.
