Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Receive and confirm quote requests from channel partners.
  • Qualify opportunities against deal thresholds, territory execution strategies and product focus.
  • Manage requests for any changes to submitted orders.
  • Administer cross-functional quote development to meet customer needs.
  • Receive non-compliant order submittals and coordinate resolution for order fulfillment.
  • Escalate rep partner quote and order policy issues to RSM (Regional Sales Manager) for corrective action.
  • Have a strong understanding of company products, competition in the market and positioning.
  • Assess end-customer needs and make appropriate technical recommendations.
  • Negotiate with internal and external stakeholders through successful deal conversions, consistent with the strategic growth plan.
  • Collaborate with RSM and channel partners on the development of sales quotes and contracts.
  • Understand the target markets, including industry, company, competitors, and customers.
  • Collaborate with design and sales teams to ensure that customer requirements are met.
  • Follow the latest industry developments and stay up to date on corporate competitors.
  • Assess incoming sales opportunities for business alignment/viability.
  • Provide trustworthy guidance and sales support channel partners and customers.
  • Identify and report internal improvement opportunities and external market opportunities.

  • Up to 30% travel
  • All other duties as assigned


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in engineering strongly preferred or 5+ years technical experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • 3+ years of sales experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, preferred.
  • Demonstrated skill and experience at managing key accounts and developing relationships.
  • Proven ability in developing multi-level contacts at customer and building strong customer relationships.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales goals.
  • Understanding of manufacturing and engineering processes preferred.
  • Must be self-motivated, self-directed, enthusiastic and detail orientated.
  • Excellent communication skills; must be a listener, a presenter, and a people-person.
  • Ability to interact consultatively with sales team to determine needs and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Good computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to work independently.



PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:



  • Standard office environment
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach
  • Ability to work extended hours
