The Medical Lamp and SSL Solution business field provides market-leading lighting components and solutions that improve the human experience by enabling medical professionals in patient care and research and development. The mission of the Product Marketing team is to drive the execution of our global strategy. We are experts on the view of the full market spectrum (e.g. customers, competitors, products, technology, market development, strategy). We drive revenue development, position our business sustainably and support customer engagement.
- Function as product and application expert for our Medical Lamp and SSL Solution products supporting our sales team and customers.
- Develop, maintain, and efficiently communicate an authoritative understanding of current market conditions, competitive environment, future trends, challenges, and innovations as input for our product portfolio roadmap.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with key customers.
- Support regional revenue forecast and budgeting on customer & product level.
- Lead, manage and execute product development and launch activities in close cooperation with Business Field, Sales, Marketing, and Legal/IP teams.
- Co-own the opportunity funnel with the Sales team; develop business case(s) and if necessary, trigger appropriate pre-development projects with targeted lead customers.
- Participate in standards groups within the industry; work with solutions engineers and product managers to create content for white papers, technical reviews, and case studies; present at conferences and events to enhance customer understanding of our products.
- Manage product information to support Marketing, Sales and Customer Service teams including populating and maintaining our PIM and e-catalog tools.
- Supports our CQM team with resolution of customer quality concerns.
- Supports the development of marketing strategies, materials, and events.
- Supports product supply initiatives including inventory management and product allocation.
- Manages packaging designs and product certifications.
- Prepare periodic business reporting and ad-hoc management analysis.
- Ensures achievements for annual revenue and design win targets and maximizes product margins.
Who we are looking for
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering. MBA a plus.
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience and proven results in a product management, engineering, or sales role in the medical industry. Lighting experience a plus.
- Strong business acumen, customer orientation, and drive for results.
- Excellent analytical skills and conceptual thinking with the ability to synthesize broad swaths of information into concise, actionable intelligence.
- Self-motivated, self-directed, avid learner.
- Excellent business and technical communication and presentation skills.
- Ability and flexibility to work in a global environment with multiple organizations within the company.
- A demonstrable positive attitude is a must.
- Availability to travel up to 50%.
