The Division of Pediatric Hematology Oncology at Corewell Health Children's in southeast Michigan is seeking to add a fourth BC/BE pediatric hematologist oncologist. Clinicians of all levels are encouraged to apply; though not necessary, clinical interest in brain tumors would elevate anyone's candidacy. Our group currently includes three full time physicians and one nurse practitioner who also participates in the call schedule. Opened in 2017, the Skandalaris Family Center for Children with Cancer and Blood Disorders is located above the Proton Beam Therapy Center, providing a spacious and relaxing environment for patients, families, and care team alike. We are a full member of Children's Oncology Group, seeing approximately 40-50 newly diagnosed oncology patients each year. Comprehensive hematology care is provided for all diagnoses including a small sickle cell population. Patients are supported by a complete complement of pediatric medical and surgical subspecialties, including a dedicated pediatric interventional radiologist and a cutting-edge pediatric surgery team that has brought HIPEC capability to the center. The team has a dedicated social worker and educational liaison/teacher, as well as numerous certified child life specialists. We are proud to have the generously funded Gilbert Family Adolescent and Young Adult Program, as well as a funded Pediatric/Adolescent Oncology Integrative Wellness Program. Corewell Health was formed in February 2022 by Beaumont Health and Spectrum Health.
