Chicago, IllinoisAdd to Favorite Jobs Email this Job Department: MED-Thoracic Surgery Job Summary: Conducts experimental research lab work and/or assists in design of one or more specific phase(s) of entire project(s). May complete mathematical calculations, and/or computer tasks and/or assist in judging validity of data. Follows appropriate protocols, policies, procedures, regulations, Good Clinical and Good Laboratory Practices. We are seeking a Research Technician to join our team at the Lab, where you will play a crucial role in supporting scientific research and discovery efforts focused on lung transplant, lung injury, and lung cancer. Working closely with physicians, bioinformaticians, and research scientists, you will contribute to ongoing research projects by processing patient specimens for Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), employing flow sorting techniques to purify cells, and executing sequencing library preparation protocols. You will be responsible for managing specimen repositories and assisting with experimental validations using molecular & cellular technologies. Target hiring range for this position will be between $24.14 to $30.17 per hour. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. Specific Responsibilities:
