Chicago, IllinoisAdd to Favorite Jobs Email this Job Department: MED-Basic Science Admin Under supervision of the Associate Director for Facilities in Basic Science Administration, provide glassware washing, maintenance of common facilities, cleaning and maintenance of equipment and disposal of biohazard wastes as required. The responsibilities of this position include washing glassware, preparing tissue culture media, chemical reagents, autoclaving and practicing sterile techniques, and assisting with ordering and inventory of supplies; maintaining laboratory equipment; assisting faculty with moving lab space locations and/or new faculty with setting up their new labs, managing 2 film developers, glassware washers, autoclaves, and other duties as assigned. Requires lifting and transporting 15-20-pound items on campus and working in various temperature conditions. Specific Responsibilities:

Miscellaneous Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications:
Target hiring range for this position will be between $18.42 to $25.90 per hour. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
