Hours: This is a part-time position (20 hours per week/ Flexible, but ideally 3 days a week, occasional nights and weekends)
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Campus: Evanston
Approximate start date: 9/2/2024
Approximate end date: 2/1/2025

Northwestern University is seeking a temporary Part-time Special Event Assistant for the Evanston campus.

Temporary Job Description:

The Special Events Assistant will be working on many of the administrative tasks for the Special Events team. This will include data processing and management, administrative event follow up and report pulls, and assisting with the numerous tasks that go along with making each event run smoothly.

  • Updating accept and regret lists and reconciling email registrations
  • Printing nametags and placecards
  • Assist with processing invoices and expense reports
  • Entering events into our database system
  • Researching event venues and hotels for coming events
  • Working registration table for events including upcoming Football events

Qualifications Required:

A bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience;

Strong writing skills;

High level of organizational skills and attention to detail;

Diligent and can work independently;

Experience working with confidential information;

Professionalism;

Flexibility, adaptability in a fast paced environment.

Software Required:

MS Office suite 2013 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
