Evanston, IllinoisAdd to Favorite Jobs Email this Job Clinical Assistant Professor (Speech-Language Pathology, Head and Neck Cancer Focus) Non-Tenure Eligible The Roxelyn and Richard Pepper Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Northwestern University is searching for a full-time speech-language pathologist to join the dynamic team of clinical faculty as an assistant clinical professor. The successful applicant will provide clinical care, supervise graduate students, and support research and educational missions of the Department's Center for Audiology, Speech, Language, and Learning and the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. The position will be housed in the Voice, Speech, Language Service, and Swallowing Center located at Northwestern University's downtown Chicago medical campus in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. The Head and Neck Multidisciplinary Cancer Center provides specialized care to inpatients and outpatients at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and serves as an exceptional educational setting for graduate students. The Center has strong partnerships with world-renowned research scientists housed within the Northwestern University Communication and Sciences Disorders Department and the Feinberg School of Medicine. Candidates must have extensive experience in evaluating and managing speech and swallowing disorders related to head and neck cancer. Employment term: One (1) year appointment beginning January 1, 2024, renewable on an annual basis. Qualifications:

The Department: The Roxelyn and Richard Pepper Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Northwestern University is widely recognized for its excellence in research, education, and clinical training in the field of communication sciences and disorders. NUCASLL also serves as a training ground for future clinical professionals while participating in innovative clinical and translational research. The School: The School of Communication has five departments and offers a suite of interdisciplinary undergraduate, professional, and graduate programs. The departments span the communication arts and sciences including the Department of Radio-Television-Film, the Roxelyn and Richard Pepper Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, the Department of Communication Studies, the Department of Performance Studies, and the Department of Theatre (which includes music theatre and dance). The faculty of over 190 includes 109 tenure-eligible faculty. The school offers instruction to roughly 1200 undergraduate majors and 700 graduate and professional students.
