Chicago, IllinoisAdd to Favorite Jobs Email this Job Department: MED-Cancer Center The pre-award financial analyst in the cancer center is responsible for securing clinical trials office administrative start up fees for all industry sponsored trials managing communication during negotiations. Communicates with the regulatory and clinical teams the status of trials as the protocol progresses through the different stages. Reviews coverage analysis and opens hospital research catalog to determine pricing for budget from the sponsor. Sends budget elements to six to eight other entities depending on complexity for their review before following up with the sponsor on proposed budget. Creates InfoEd proposals for multiple departments and processes executed contracts and many later amendments into InfoEd and NOTIS and subawards including responsibility for reconciling all subaward terms. They create and manage budgets in Study Tracker which is linked to EPIC for billing and compliance. Supports a university accounting-related area or program. Manages financial operations &/or analysis in support of area/unit's mission & in coordination with central offices such as HR, Budget, Financial Aid, Facilities, Purchasing, IT, Provost, etc. Reviews a portfolio of multiple schools/depts' financial operations comprised of work that involves some complex problems &/or decisions. Accounting policy & procedure Analysis Budget Chart &/or account coding Grants &/or awards Reconciliation Please note: Supervisor provides objectives & deadlines. Work is reviewed for fulfillment of objective & deadlines & overall compliance with policy & procedures. Target hiring range for this position will be between $56,782-$79,850 per year. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
