Evanston, IllinoisAdd to Favorite Jobs Email this Job ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF INSTRUCTION MEDIA PRODUCTION (Non-Tenure Eligible) The Department of Radio/Television/Film is seeking a full-time faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor of Instruction with a focus on cinematography for narrative filmmaking. The ideal candidate would also a be generalist, with experience in directing and/or editing. Expertise in motion picture camera operation and lighting and ability to teach grip and electrics practices is required, and candidate must be able to teach an introductory-level production course addressing conceptual and technical basics of audiovisual media production. Successful applicants will be able to teach theoretical and practical hands-on courses in cinematography and other craft areas, including but not limited to, editing and/or directing. Candidates should have a record of professional practice and/or creative activity, a terminal degree (MFA or PhD), and prior teaching experience. We may consider candidates without a terminal graduate degree if such candidates have extraordinary professional accomplishments. Employment term: A 12-month appointment beginning September 1, 2021, renewable on an annual basis. Qualifications:
