Position Summary

The Operator/Information Desk is responsible for operating the main campus telephone system, paging, monitoring alarms, oxygen levels and fire alarms, and alerting personnel of impending disasters, fires and codes. This is a position working under limited supervision. Work situations are basically routine and require strong communication skills, and a service oriented individual. Internal contacts are general in nature and include staff and management throughout the organization. External contacts include the public, patients, families, visitors, and physicians.

Requirements


  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • Minimum two (2) years of customer service experience
  • Minimum one (1) year of relevant MHS customer service experience may substitute for experience requirement (volunteer work included); Examples include, but are not limited to--interaction with patients, families, providers; high volume work environments; multitasking
  • Previous PBX experience preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $19.35 - $29.43 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
