Acute Therapy Occupational Therapists

Looking for an OT who is flexible, creative, committed, reliable, and able to operate at the highest level of clinical practice. The employee must be self-driven, outcomes oriented, and able to demonstrate quality work within a fast paced environment, so as to meet productivity as it aligns with our stewardship value. A good candidate is also someone who is highly collaborative and able to see the "big picture". There is need for strong communication between OT/PT/PTA/COTA/SLP, as well as other care team members such as physician, nursing and CM/SW. One must be comfortable, willing, and capable to work as a team, as well as work independently, but pull in assist when needed.

The Acute Therapy department at Good Samaritan focuses on acute inpatient therapy in ICU, PCU, Med/Surg, ED, ortho, total joint replacements, neuro, and podiatry. MultiCare utilizes EPIC for all electronic medical records. The full-time position is benefitted (Medical, Dental, Vision, Continuing Education, PTO, sick time). Full-time employees are required to work 3 Holidays per year and are randomized for equity's sake.

Position Summary

The Occupational Therapist is an exciting opportunity at MultiCare, responsible for evaluating, planning and implementing occupational therapy services for patients. With varied and dynamic day-to-day functions, you will apply your service orientation, analysis and good judgment toward ensuring comprehensive occupational therapy care for patients.

Responsibilities

  • You will perform well in stress and emergency situations
  • You will perform patient evaluations/re-evaluations, establish a treatment plan, and modify the treatment plan according to the needs of the patient and response to treatment
  • You will perform treatment interventions for outpatient and/or inpatient population as directed
  • You will perform documentation in the medical record that is timely and accurate
  • You will communicate well with patients, peers, and other health professionals in the coordination of care for the patients

Requirements

  • State of Washington Occupational Therapist license
  • Current BLS certification
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in a social or health setting required

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $45.44 - $67.02 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
