What You'll Do

  • To focus on managing the Bank's market risk, providing liquidity to clients via Deutsche Bank's market-leading electronic offering and manually through voice methods of pricing and hedging

  • To become an expert at piloting the pricing and risk management of one of the largest spot books in the market, using first-class technology, and develop the subject matter expertise to advise clients on effective methods of execution through a spectrum of market conditions

  • To immerse yourself in dynamic interactions with our sales teams and their clients, with the opportunity to deliver exciting market insights, flow analysis and compelling commentary on current market trends and macroeconomic themes

  • To partner with other members of the team who focus on quantitative methods, sharing ideas and observations to drive the platform and client offering forward and maintain our competitive advantage

  • To actively monitor markets in real-time, developing views on current and potential near terms risks, ideate and enact response plans while coordinating across multiple teams

Skills You'll Need

  • Proactive and reactive decision making and problem solving while under pressure - ideally you find this an exciting prospect

  • Ideally prior experience in FX spot electronic market making with an additional preference for experience in voice trading, good intuition and understanding of the FX market dynamics, structure, and client base

  • Exceptional at multitasking

  • Have a disciplined mindset where you simultaneously pay attention to the details whilst being aware to the big picture and adeptly managing associated risks

  • Collaborative can-do attitude, coupled with good verbal and written communication skills

  • Sufficiently analytical and data driven mindset to be able to effectively partner with a highly quantitative and systematic trading team

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York City office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $135K to $175K. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
