What You'll Do

  • Responsible for the provision of sanctions advisory to all lines of business in Deutsche Bank, as well as to global sanctions colleagues concerning OFAC sanctions regulations.
  • This role will require you to review enhanced due diligence escalations involving material sanctions exposure, conduct proactive research on parties that may present heightened sanctions risks, investigate and product written disclosures to OFAC, as well as respond to Administrative Subpoenas related to sanctions.
  • Responsible for assisting the Americas Head of Sanctions Advisory on projects related to sanctions regulatory developments
  • Responsible for assessing recent material regulatory updates in order to create communication for relay to the relevant business units
  • Assisting in preparing documentation to ad hoc requests by regulatory and governmental authorities, including assist in handling and responding to inquiries from regulatory authorities.

Skills You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree (JD or Graduate degree preferred)
  • Past experience working in Sanctions Compliance with a global financial institution is required, preferably within Sanctions Advisory
  • Sound geopolitical knowledge and knowledge of international laws is as an asset but not required
  • Knowledge of EU and UK sanctions is helpful, but not required

  • Ability to identify matters that require further analysis and investigative skills (i.e. critical thinking, inquiry, and analysis)
  • Solid communication skills (both written and verbal) including ability to write reports that summarize key risks, issues, and remedial actions
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously and within teams

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York is $100,000 to $142,250.Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
