Your opportunity:

As a Sr. Product Engineer for the Greenheck Group you will provide an advanced level of expertise and drive change in key areas including but not limited to: the design and redesign of new and existing products to complement and enhance product offerings, continually improve quality, adhering to compliance and regulation codes, support and minimize production costs to sustain a competitive advantage in the air movement and control industry. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to move critical projects forward.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead the development of new product designs and redesigns in coordination with sales, marketing and manufacturing functions.
  • Oversee and prepare as necessary the bill-of-materials on new and changed designs and special design requests under direction of design team.
  • Oversee the release of design into production, including any necessary testing and training required for implementing new or changed designs.
  • Evaluate entire project material selection, cost analysis, and vendors as required to implement new designs. Review, along with purchasing personnel, the selection and specification of new purchased component parts for product designs.
  • Oversee the prototyping and testing of new designs, including the interpretation of test results. May be required to set up and run test equipment.
  • Conducting with oversight of the testing and reviewing of new designs, interpreting test data and recommending and/or implementing necessary corrective action based on test data. Will interface with agencies associated with certifying products (AMCA, UL, etc.).
  • Lead technical consultation internally to sales and marketing personnel and externally to customers.
  • Maintain close contact with the shop floor. Listen to the problems and ideas. Prioritize and pursue the most important concerns. Responsible for resolving any and all issues as they arise.
  • Developing, improving, and training team members on documentations standards for production, manufacturing, and engineering.
  • Visit job sites to review installation and/or design problems and make a determination and resolve the situation.
  • Lead/facilitate in value engineering/design for manufacturing assembly on overall product portfolio to continually improve the cost efficiency of design and manufacturing processes.
  • May lead any/all external agency approval (i.e., U.L. AMCA). May also be involved in technical committees, standard committees, etc.
  • Manage complex team projects including determining timelines.
  • Will provide mentoring, training, indirect supervision of other team members, or may have direct reports.
  • Support production and manufacturing quality management system and policies.
  • Maintain knowledge of new technologies that are appropriate in either product development or in manufacturing processes to improve the company's competitive position.
  • Provide input to business unit leadership for strategic planning process.
  • Oversee the planning, definition, user experience, and testing of product selection software.

What you should have:

  • 6-9 years of relevant work experience in engineering is required.
  • 2 Year / associate degree in engineering or a related field of studyis required.
  • 4 Year / bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred.

Some things we think you should know:

  • This is an on-site role located at our Mosinee, WI location.
  • Minimal travel will be required for this role.
  • You will supervise a small team.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment, such as a computer and phone. Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The person is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data, and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. There is an occasional need for walking short distances. Work may be performed in company's setting, home, or hybrid.
