Supermarket Rack Technician Employment/FLSA Status: Full-time, Regular Location: Abilene, TX Job Description:
The job involves servicing racks, walk-in coolers/freezers, ice machines, HVAC, and self-contained equipment. The responsibilities include repairing and overhauling equipment such as compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and electrical and mechanical control devices in a safe, efficient, and timely manner that exceeds customers' expectations. General repair work on refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment, including air conditioning units, evaporative condensers, ice machine equipment, water pumps, gas furnaces, compressors, and electric motors is required.
Additionally, providing preventative maintenance activities for customers, diagnosing equipment malfunctions, and addressing any operating deficiencies to ensure quality work performance. Good communication skills, the ability to build strong relationships with customers, co-workers, and management, as well as an understanding of electrical wiring schematics are essential. Working knowledge of single systems, small rack systems, display cases, ice machines, and walk-in boxes is also required, including stand alone refrigeration, special, complex rack refrigeration, and HVAC.
