Job Summary

The role will be responsible for defining and maintaining standards for project management, providing guidance and standards in the execution of projects, allocating the resources, managing programs involving multiple stakeholders, monitoring compliance and developing policies and procedures. The role plays a critical role in driving project success and supporting the achievement of organizational goals.

Job Description

SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement the overall strategy for the PMO to align with the company's strategic goals
  • Establish and enforce project management standards, methodologies, and best practices across the organization
  • Ensure compliance with project management frameworks and governance policies
  • Oversee the selection, prioritization, and management of the project portfolio to ensure alignment with strategic objectives
  • Balance resource allocation and manage project prioritization to maximize ROI
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and reporting systems to monitor project performance
  • Provide regular status updates to the executive team and stakeholders on project progress, risks, and issues
  • Oversee the allocation of resources across projects to ensure optimal utilization and efficiency
  • Oversee the allocation of resources across projects to ensure optimal utilization and efficiency, manage capacity planning, and ensure that project teams are adequately staffed
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely resolution of project issues
  • Lead organizational change initiatives related to project management to ensure that change management strategies are effectively implemented to support project success
  • Develop and deliver training programs for project managers and teams to build project management capabilities
  • Select and manage project management tools and technologies to support efficient project delivery
  • Promote innovative project management approaches and techniques and continuously evaluate and improve PMO processes and methodologies
  • Provide insights and recommendations to the executive team based on project performance and outcomes

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, project management, engineering, or a relevant field. MBA is preferred
  • 15+ years of experience in project management, including 5 years in a leadership role at least, the experience in Automotive and Commercial Vehicle industry is preferred
  • Proven track record in senior project management or PMO leadership roles, demonstrating the ability to lead and manage large, complex projects and teams
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire, manage, and develop high-performing project teams
  • Strong ability to develop and implement strategic plans and align projects with organizational goals
  • Proficiency in analyzing project data, metrics, and financial reports to inform decision-making
  • Expertise in identifying, assessing, and managing project risks and issues
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, cost control, and ROI analysis
  • Ability to effectively allocate and manage resources across multiple projects
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to address project challenges and obstacles
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP), or other relevant areas can enhance qualifications
  • Willingness to travel.

Range: 125K - 139K DOE
