Our newly established Commodity and Global Markets Business-aligned Treasury group has an exciting opportunity to join the team as an Analyst. This role presents a rare opportunity for you to join a new function within Group Treasury, critical to its strategy and instrumental in building Commodity and Global Markets product expertise.

What role will you play?

This role will provide you with ownership of the work you produce from start to finish which includes data and analysis, reporting and insights, and extensive engagement with front office stakeholders. In conjunction with your excellent numerical and analytical skills, this role will provide you with a strong foundation to continue to advance your career in energy markets or treasury. Your typical day will include investigating and documenting business data requirements for liquidity and capital calculations as well as engaging with multiple stakeholders across Treasury, Risk Management and Front Office to develop a deep understanding of the products and markets that Macquarie trades in.

What you offer

  • 1 to 2 years' experience in energy markets, in either a front office or middle office capacity
  • Qualifications in either Finance, Economics, Engineering, Maths, Accounting or similar
  • Proficiency in Excel, with VBA and/or basic coding skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with a commercially minded approach
  • Familiarity with Liquidity and Regulatory Capital standards is beneficial.
