Join us as a Material Handler

This position works under general supervision and is primarily responsible for loading, unloading and moving materials and finished products within warehouse and pack orders to ensure timely, accurate delivery of customer requests.

In this role you'll make an impact by:

• Reading work orders or following instructions to determine materials to be moved.
• Loading and unloading materials onto/from pallets, tubs, racks, and shelves.
• Inspecting vehicles and shipments for proper conditions, accuracy, and damage; preparing documents.
• Locating stock, counting, weighing, and recording materials; prepping for shipment.
• Entering data in SAP, updating records, filing documents, and preparing reports.
• Maintaining cleanliness and complying with safety and sanitation requirements.
• Conveying materials to storage, rotating stock, and optimizing space.
• Operating industrial trucks or hoists; performing maintenance on equipment.

To succeed you must hold:

• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to operate industrial trucks or electric hoists to assist in loading or moving materials.
• Possess basic computer skills to navigate in email and data systems.
• Knowledge of GMP, safety, sanitation and Hazardous Materials per DOT requirements.
• Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from drivers, other production-related departments (i.e. Customer Service) and co-workers in a tactful manner.
• Ability to use a calculator to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, including conversions to metric weight.
• These characteristics are normally acquired through a High School Diploma or GED with at least six months of related material handling experience.
