Designer/CADD Technician
Job Description Dewberry has an opportunity for a Designer/CADD Technician to join our New York City, NY office and participate on Infrastructure and Facilities Design Teams working with engineers, project managers, and other professionals. This position emphasizes design and plan set preparation for mechanical, electrical, plumbing and structural disciplines, . Work activities may include CAD/Revit drafting for conceptual, preliminary, and final design drawings And the preparation of design packages for submission to client. Duties will include CAD and REVIT drawing model setup, building information modeling (BIM) using Bentley and Revit software, CAD drafting using AutoCAD or Microstation and REVIT software, drawing production and discipline coordination between the various trades. Duties may also include the review of design packages drawn by others, working with architects, public agency representatives and other clients, and working with teammates from within the Dewberry organization. This individual will work in a multi-discipline, team environment with primary responsibility as the BIM/CAD Manager for design and production of construction documents for commercial, institutional and infrastructure projects. Familiarity with electrical, plumbing and structural systems as it relates to BIM will be considered highly favorably.
