Dewberry is seeking a responsible, highly motivated, and detail oriented individual to lead our structures department in Long Beach, CA as a Senior Structures Project Manager.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have technical, managerial, and market access responsibilities to lead the execution of project work and implement business strategy to develop new client work and maintain existing client relationships. Candidate must have a BS degree in Civil Engineering and a minimum of 20 years of structural design experience. Prior experience with local transportation agencies and clients such as LA Metro, OCTA, SBCTA, Metrolink, local Cities and Counties is desirable. The work required by the successful candidate is diverse and requires strong communication and management skills.



Required Skills & Required Experience

    Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited 4-year engineering college
  • Master's degree is preferred
  • Possession of a California PE license is required
  • 10+ years of experience in the management and delivery of structures and transportation projects
  • 10+ years of detailed design experience in bridge and retaining wall projects
  • Experience designing transportation related structures projects to Caltrans and local agency standards
  • Familiar with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications with Caltrans Amendments
  • Proficiency using CADD (AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred) and structures design software
  • Proficient in MS Office (WORD and EXCEL)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills and desire to deliver the highest quality projects to our clients

The projected range for this position is $165,000-$220,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
