Reimagine What's Possible

We are seeking to hire a team of Plant Operators to operate our new West Coast Green Hydrogen facility in Casa Grande, AZ. An Operations Technician is primarily responsible for the safe, efficient, hands-on, day-to-day controlling and monitoring of several plant processes for the operation of an Aklaline Water Electrolysis (AWE) and 10 ton per day Liquid Hydrogen plant. The work environment includes plant control and monitoring from the field and control building, maintenance, cryogenic tanker loading support, and product quality assurance. In addition, the site will also have a terminal for transport of Green Liquid Hydrogen to various customers throughout the region.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe day-to-day operation of the plant to support the plant on-stream, production and reliability targets
  • Assist in plant equipment mechanical repairs, instrument calibrations, and electrical troubleshooting
  • Pay close attention to details and execute work to company standards
  • Participate in the safety planning and execution of minor and major shutdowns
  • Follow, update, and maintain site work instruction procedures to ensure safety and efficiency of the operations
  • Supervise trailer loading operations and assist drivers
  • Become qualified in several safety roles, such as safety work permit issuer

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Dedication to safety and continuous improvement
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Must be a self-starter and willing to work alone
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience in reverse osmosis systems a plus
  • Candidates with a background in industrial gas plants, refinery operations, steam plant operations, instrumentation, and electrical systems preferred
  • Military experience a plus. Position aligns with US Navy Nuclear propulsion, Machinist's Mate, Electrician's Mate, Damage Control, Engineman, Electronic Tech, Gas Turbine Systems Technician.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to climb ladders and steps and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Sit or stand for long periods throughout their shift
  • Be able to meet all call-in requirements as needed
  • Position is required to work a rotating 12-hour shift, as this is a 24/7 operating facility
  • Willing to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
  • May be required to be respirator fit tested and wear a respirator for specific duties
  • This is a safety sensitive position

Education and Licensing Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience is required
  • 2-years minimum experience in a manufacturing/production, processing, or chemical/ petrochemical environment, or similar military assignments
