Job Description

Dewberry has an immediate opening for an Engineering Project Manager in our Panama City, FL office. Seeking a self-motivated and client focused Engineer with municipal infrastructure project experience, strong technical and consulting skills. The candidate will perform a variety of civil engineering functions and collaborate with our team on water, wastewater, drainage, and roadway infrastructure projects for public and private sector clients.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will manage all aspects of municipal and site development project planning, design, and construction phases while interfacing and coordinating with other engineering disciplines, technicians, inspectors, and permitting specialists.

    Coordinating engineering work a multi-disciplined project design team.
  • Meeting client and project deliverable deadlines.
  • Managing project scope and budget.
  • Developing design drawings, contract documents, and technical specifications.
  • Preparation of engineering reports and feasibility studies.
  • Developing opinions of probable project cost.
  • Reviewing shop drawing submittals and contractor pay request.
  • Providing construction phase engineering services.


Required Skills & Required Experience

  • B.S. Degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 4-6+years experience with progressive responsibilities forpublic and private sector water and wastewater projects.
  • Florida Professional Engineer (PE) License required or ability to obtain.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D and Microsoft office is required.
  • Specific experience in municipal infrastructure analysis, design, permitting, funding, and construction administration is a plus.
  • Familiar with hydraulic modeling and GIS software.
  • Work independently on tasks preparing bid documents, reports, calculations and project deliverables and reviewing the design of others.
  • Self-motivated with strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, sub consultants, and county/agency review staff.
  • Experience coordinating and managing engineering work.
  • Experience interfacing with municipal clients.
